I relocated to New York, last year, with my husband and two doggies from Columbus, Ohio where I was The Wedding Assistant of Columbus, winner of WeddingWire's Couple's Choice Award for being in the top 5% of wedding professionals in the region.
Before that, I was Aide de Camp to Brigadier General Mark Yenter while serving in the U.S. Army where, in addition to running the day-to-day business of a one-star general in 15-minute increments, I also managed countless social and formal events. I hold a dual degree from The Ohio State University in English and Interior Space Design.
My background in problem solving, communication, and visual design is particularly useful when helping my clients create unique and personalized events because it helps me really listen and understand my couples' visions. This allows my clients to have a well-rounded and complete experience, and, as a designer, I can do many projects in-house, which helps save time and money.
For the last five years, I've truly enjoyed putting my energy into wedding design and coordination. I believe that in order for couples to fully enjoy their wedding day, they need a pro they trust completely to organize and manage all the details.
My military background has taught me that there is a solution to nearly any problem and that most events will go off without a hitch if you stay one step ahead at all times, and anticipate and plan for the things that could go awry.
I can't wait to meet and work with you! Cheers! -Susan
